Someone had their Crankypants on today...

Or, um, no pants, as evidenced in the picture below. Molly woke up at 4:00 this morning (3:58 if you want to be exact) and was totally in a mood. Normally she is little Miss Morning Person, but today was not her day.

She finally calmed down by later in the day and played with her Bendy Ball, which she loves almost as much as her Sophie.

Molly has a favorite video on Youtube that always cheers her up, it's of twin boys laughing. Watch it here:

Right now she is sound asleep-- send good thoughts my way for a baby that sleeps all night? One can dream...

Squeak Squeak Squeak Splash Splash Splash

Molly has decided to kick her legs as furiously as possible while being given a bath, in the mean time soaking me and everything else. Today she was laughing and splashing like never before-- it was hilarious. She also has decided that noming on Sophies face is her new favorite thing to do. There is nothing more precious than the sound of  a rubber toy going "Squeak Squeak" on toothless gums.

Molly's nails grow like CRAZY! She cut her head with them (See tummy time pictures below on the left side of her head--ouch!). As soon as I saw the cut I trimmed her nails. I hate it when she injures herself, even when it doesn't seem to bother her much.

I think she's going to be crawling in another month or so. That should be an interesting new chapter!

Every Little Thing That You Do, Baby I'm Amazed by You

Molly grabbed her Sophie and her Baby Einstein Bendy Ball and drug them toward herself today. I looked this up and babies that are 6 months old should be doing this--way to go Molly! She also started babbling even more than usual today and finds it hilarious when Mommy says "Nanana" or "Bababa". Holy Cuteness! That little smile melts my heart everytime.

Also, I need some advice from my readers if you have any to offer. I have no idea what to do about Molly riding in the car. She has decided that she HATES it. She is fine for the first few minutes and then she starts SCREAMING. Like, blood curdling screams with big ol' crocodile tears. What gives? I have a JJ Cole Bundle Me (JJ Cole Original Infant Bundle Me - Pink) in her seat, I wonder if she's getting too warm? I guess it can't hurt to take it out and see if it works, right?  Ugh. So frustrating!

See below for the picture of the day. I can't believe how big she's getting!!!

You're Just Too Good to be True....

Sleeping through the night that is. It only lasted one night-- last night she woke up every 2 hours like clockwork again.

Today she talked more than ever and made more actual word sounding noises. It's amazing when your child just wakes up one day and does something completely new. She also rolled from back to belly and then immediately from belly to back today. Her favorite thing in the world right now (other than her massive toy selection) is "This Little Piggy". When I say "Wee Wee Wee all the way home" she giggles like there's no tomorrow.

Oh Molly, what will you do tomorrow? I can't wait to see.

I've Been Waiting for this....

Molly slept through the night for the first time since BIRTH last night. I kept waking up and checking on her and she just kept sleeping.

This. Is. Huge.

I doubt it will continue tonight, but my goodness was it nice to get almost a full night of sleep. I felt better today than I have in a long time.

Oh, an how cute are these Leg Warmers? I got them from Crawler Covers & More off of Etsy and I love them! They are so well made and the colors are gorgeous. I bought five pairs!

4 Month Appointment/Shots--My little big girl

Here are Molly's stats as of today:

13 pounds 14 ounces
24 1/4 Inches

She is in the 50 percentile for her height, weight and head, although I cannot remember her head size. She got 3 shots today and took them like a champ, although she did scream her head off afterwards and it was impossible to put her clothes back on.

Here's my quandary for the day....

The pediatrician okayed solids starting with rice cereal, but I am not okay with it. Based on what I have read (and the Pedi tried to convince me there are newer studies that say it's okay...I'm not biting) you should start solids at 6 months for Breastfed babies because they are getting the moms antibodies which they are unable to make on their own yet. The more of these antibodies they get, the better. So, for that reason, I will be sticking with just breast milk for Molly for the first 6 months. Here's where I tell you in super small font another reason I am doing it too--- I have another 15 lbs to lose and breastfeeding allows me to lose weight and eat what I want. There I said it.

Here are a couple pictures from today. Note the hat, it was made by For Your Little One from Etsy. She did an amazing job and I LOVE it so much I wish it were acceptable for me to wear one.

McFatty Monday: PrePregnancy Jeans

I am back at my prepregnancy weight, which is higher than where I would like to be because I gained 15 lbs in a month before I even found out I was pregnant due to overindulgent Christmas eating. I now have one pair of Pre-Molly jeans that fit me which is exciting, however they are low rise and whenever I go to do basically anything besides stand straight up, they slide down my now gigantic hips.

I bought a pair of higher rise jeans to cover up the muffin top of extra skin left over from being pregnant, but they feel weird after wearing low rise for the better part of this century. I stare at my Silver jeans collection with pure hatred. They used to be the only jeans that fit me correctly as I have an odd shape with no butt and they have let me down. At $70.00 a pair and the almost 15 pairs I have aquired over the years, that's an expensive let down.

On this McFatty Monday, I declare that I will get back into those jeans. All of them.

Oh and I lost 5 lbs this week...so I am right there with you, Blair! Yay for that atleast.

4 Months Old Today!

Happy 4 Months Molly! Let's hope this teething is done by this time next month. Her poor mouth is hurting her, big time!

I did manage to get a couple good pictures today though.
