I am trying so so hard to be a "good" Mom and transition Molly out of sleeping on me for naps and with me at night. As much as I love cuddling with her, it's best for both of us that we do this transition now so that she's not still sleeping in my bed at 16 (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but that's what the voices in my head are saying "Transition her now or forever lose sleep!")
Anyway, this transition has resulted in lots of screaming. See the below pictures. I've been letting her attempt to "play" in her pack n' play as well, because she's crawling all over the place and is into everything. I found her trying to eat my shoe yesterday and that was enough for me to set up the Pack N' Scream.
She tries to claw her way out of it. She screams after being in it for 5 minutes. If I put her in it to sleep, she wakes up screaming. She made it an hour last night before she started screaming her little head off. Just now she started screaming as soon as I set her down.
Give me warm thoughts in hopes that I can turn this:

Babies are exceedingly opinionated and particular little things.
Turtle adored his PNP up until about two months ago. Now, he can't get near it without his bottom lip sticking out and his eyes welling up.
Does Molly have a crib? It may be more comfortable for her with a thicker mattress.
It will all come in time. I doubt very much that she will be sleeping with you at 16, any more than Turtle will still be in his crib at 15 (because he loves it so much and I don't want to switch to a toddler bed and mess with our wonderful system).
I wish you much luck! I know it is soo hard to hear them scream. Just keep doing what you feel is right for her and you.
Katelyn wouldn't sleep by herself either. It took a week or so of sleepless nights before she finally went to sleep in her crib. Just stick with it and it should get better soon. Good luck and stay strong!
hang in there! It will happen!
Good luck with the transition!
Oh gosh girl... I could never do the cry it out method with my kiddo. She still needs to be rocked for about 5 minutes before I put her in her bed. She's 19 months old... Have you tried just keeping the pack-n-play next to your bed at night. That way you can just reach over and pat her or talk to her?
Or maybe you can even just let her fall asleep on you and then put her in the pack-n-play during naps.
