She is in the 50 percentile for her height, weight and head, although I cannot remember her head size. She got 3 shots today and took them like a champ, although she did scream her head off afterwards and it was impossible to put her clothes back on.
Here's my quandary for the day....
The pediatrician okayed solids starting with rice cereal, but I am not okay with it. Based on what I have read (and the Pedi tried to convince me there are newer studies that say it's okay...I'm not biting) you should start solids at 6 months for Breastfed babies because they are getting the moms antibodies which they are unable to make on their own yet. The more of these antibodies they get, the better. So, for that reason, I will be sticking with just breast milk for Molly for the first 6 months. Here's where I tell you in super small font another reason I am doing it too--- I have another 15 lbs to lose and breastfeeding allows me to lose weight and eat what I want. There I said it.
Here are a couple pictures from today. Note the hat, it was made by For Your Little One from Etsy. She did an amazing job and I LOVE it so much I wish it were acceptable for me to wear one.

Love it. This is my reasoning, too even if it hasn't worked too well for me ;).
She is adorable. I agree with you that breastfed babies shouldn't start solids until they are at least 5 or 6 months old. My son is 5 1/2 mos and we just started him on cereal. I'm not going to give him fruits or veggies until he is 6 months.
Our daughters are the same age! Mine was 4 months on the 1st. I am now following your blog from MBC.

I breastfed both my boys. My 2 and a half year old is still a boobaholic, actually. I didn't start solids until around 6 months either and neither of them were seriously interested in eating a lot until much later. I kept asking our practitioner if they were okay cuz I was worried that they should be eating more baby food, but she said as long as they were still breastfeeding a lot I didn't have to worry about how much food they ate, cuz they were still getting so much nutrition from breastmilk. Just follow your baby's signals, you are doing great!!!!!
